Car Accidents in Maryland
Every year, more than 110,000 accidents take place in Maryland. In many cases, these crashes result in injuries for those involved. It is unfortunately common to see people left with spinal cord injuries, severe injuries to the head, and other significant injuries as a result of vehicle collisions that take place on our roads.
In countless instances, people are harmed in accidents that are completely preventable. Careless and negligent drivers continue to cause the vast majority of accidents that flood our roadways every year. Driver actions like speeding, impairment, and operating a vehicle while distracted increase the chances of people losing control of their vehicle and crashing into others.
Unfortunately, an automobile accident has the potential to cause severe harm to those involved. Not only do victims suffer from severe physical and emotional injuries, but they often face significant financial burdens as well. To help ease some of the strain that is caused by these accidents, car crash victims are encouraged to work with a Montgomery County car accident lawyer and file a personal injury claim.
This type of legal action can provide financial relief for some of the damages that victims face. Unfortunately, if a victim is found to be at fault in any way for the accident occurring, our state’s contributory negligence laws ban them from recovering any money for their damages. This makes it critically important for you to have a strong case against the defendant so that you are able to get justice.
